1. Contact Details:
Please provide contact details for the student, yourself, and a second parent or emergency contact person, by clicking here.
2. Invoicing:
Invoices are sent by email at the start of each term, in advance of the lessons. Our schedule follows the school calendar, although holiday lessons may be possible to arrange upon request. Lessons are $28 per half hour weekly lesson, inclusive of GST. (The first lesson is FREE!)
When you have received your first invoice from Fi's Keys, please include your invoice number when paying (you'll find payment details on invoice) and pay within 7 days. If your child required an Alfred's Lesson Book or ANZCA exam book to get started, you will see it itemized on the invoice. New books will be added to the invoices as needed, as the student progresses through the levels.
3. Cancellation Policy:
We require at least 24-hours notice of a cancellation, so that a reimbursement can be made. Missed lessons, where no or late notice is given, will still be charged for the full amount, as they can incur unnecessary travel costs and create scheduling inefficiencies. This includes missed lessons due to school trips or other scheduled appointments, so please be sure to let us know if your child will be away for any reason. In the rare case of a same-day cancellation due to illness, please contact me as soon as possible before the lesson, so that I can reschedule the day accordingly. You will see a reimbursement for cancelled lessons on the following term's invoice.
4. Piano Practice:
Piano lessons are a worthwhile investment, and in order to make noticeable progress, the student will need a piano or keyboard to practice on at home. This will solidify what they have learned in the weekly lessons, enable them to master new skills, and reach weekly goals outlined in their notebooks. Please help them establish a practice routine at home! Parents often ask me what an appropriate length of time is for their child to be practicing, and although it varies significantly depending on the age, ability, and experience level of the student, I'd say 10-15 minutes every school day is a great starting place for beginners, longer for older students, as their focus, ability and enjoyment increases!
